This was the second time we had stayed at this hotel the first time being in May 2008. We were greeted with enthusiasm imediatley we arrived in reception. Our bags were taken by van up to our room which was at the very top of the hill. ( by request) We had a superior room and it was very modern &comfortable. The view from our balcony was breathtaking. You could see right across to Corfu Town and there is a vast expanse of sea as far as the eye can see with Cruise Ships & Fishing Boats frequently sailing into view.
The Pantokrator Hotel is up a very steep hill at the foot of Mount Pantokrator. Barbati is a quiet village with a handfull of Bars & Taverna's. It is a lovely area and a frequent Bus service leaves from the bottom of the Hill to Corfu Town at one end of the Island and
Kassiopi at the other. The hotel van also picks up from the bus stop frequently. The swimming pool is lovely and again the views are aamazing. There were always sun beds & umberellas to spare no matter what time you went down there. The snack bar on site was as you would expect with a good selection of hot food & Ice Creams etc.
There is a good choice of food for breakfast with lovely fresh fruit & Greek Yoghurt / Cereals / Eggs Beans / Tomatoes / Toast / Cake etc etc. There can sometimes be a bit of a queue for the Coffee & Toast if you go in later but never more than a few minutes.
We had half board & the Dinners were very nice usually 3 or 4 choices of main plus a delicious Salad to start and a selection of desserts.
The staff of Pantokrator are very polite, friendly & helpful at all times.
Room Tip: Ask for an upper level at the top of the hill
